It's a great choice for use with a size 3 junior basketball, and it can be used both indoors and outdoors. The three-piece, 2-inch diameter pole system assembles and breaks down quickly, and the base is stabilized with either sand or water (and includes a built-in holder for the ball). excellent Basketball system For Young Kids : Huffy Sports Youth NBA Portable Basketball System with 32-inch EcoComposite Fan Backboard
This is a great mid-sized hoop for the money. We purchased it for our 4-year old and we feel like it will grow with him. He is fairly tall for his age and we have it on the lowest setting. There is still a lot of room for him to grow into it, so we are hoping to have it for quite a few years to come. The capability is quite good for the price and I think it will hold up nicely. I think it took my husband 20 minutes to put it together (by himself). excellent for our backyard patio!
